After an investigation between the Prosecutor's Office and the Keyport Police Department , John Curtin, 19, of Woodland Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested and charged overnight for the murder of 20-year old Evan Smutz.
The Prosecutor's Office, along with the Keyport Police Department yesterday responded to Holmdel Pointe Apartment Complex in Keyport at 12:58 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
The homicide claimed the life of Evan Smutz, 20, of Keyport.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no further danger to the public.
