Authorities are investigating an incident where a 25-year-old Linden man told police that he was robbed by two men, one armed with a gun, and the other armed with a knife.
According to authorities, the victim told officers that he was walking on the 400 block of Clinton Street Tuesday at approximately 10:42 p.m. when he was approached by two dark skinned males who demanded his belonging.
When he resisted them, one suspect, described as 6’2”, with an afro-style haircut, shaved sides, no shirt, and basketball shorts, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim’s head police said.
The second suspect, described as 5’8”, shaved head, no shirt and basketball shorts, brandished a kitchen knife.
The victim handed over his wallet, which contained cash, a debit card, and personal identification.
The suspects then fled on foot towards E. Linden Avenue.
The victim was treated for a minor laceration to his right hand by the Linden Fire Department ambulance which he sustained during the scuffle.
The incident is under investigation.
