Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said at approximately 11:00 a.m. today, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office received information from the Clifton Police Department about a motor vehicle crash that resulted in an explosion.
A commercial truck traveling west on Route 3 in Clifton crashed into a barrier, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
After members of the Clifton Fire Department brought the fire under control, they discovered the body of the driver, a 55-year-old male from Linden.
The cause of the vehicle crash is currently undetermined.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
