A 42-year-old Kearny man died this morning in Elizabeth after he was struck by a vehicle.
According to police, at 6:20 a.m., officers were called to York Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Authorities pronounced the man - later identified as Martin Allende - dead at the scene.
The driver remained at at the scene and no charges have been filed.
