Rahway Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that left a child injured in the city on Thursday.
The following is a statement released by The Honorable Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe "On Thursday, at approximately 4 p.m., a 13-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the 1800 block of St. George Avenue.
The youth is currently hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be released from the hospital early next week. My prayers are with the young man and his family for a full and fast recovery".
The Rahway Police Department is investigating the incident, according to Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe.
