An early morning chemical spill at a dialysis center sent nearly a dozen to the hospital.
According to Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrril, at approximately 5:30 a.m. employees arriving at the Ninth Street medical office smelled a strong chemical odor emanating from a supply closest.
Arriving crews determined the smell was coming from a spilled cleaning agent.
A total of eleven people are taken to Jersey City Medical Center for evaluation, after complaints of eye irritation.
The incident remains under investigation Morrill said.
