Authorities are investigating a Thursday evening shooting in Orange that left a 44-year-old East Orange man injured.
Earlier reports from RLS Media indicated that police had set up a crime scene in the 500 block of Cary Street after receiving alerts of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Emergency medical teams transported him to the hospital for treatment.
The victim provided limited details about the incident, and no additional injuries were reported.
Investigators remained at the scene, gathering evidence and working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
