Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced additional information in an ongoing investigation into two deceased individuals found at 21 Garden Terrace, Apartment E, North Arlington, NJ on April 7, 2021.
Officials said an investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the North Arlington Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Hedenberg
According to Bergen County officials, on Wednesday at approximately 5:41 p.m., the North Arlington Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a concerned neighbor reporting that she looked through the mail slot in the front door of 21 Garden Terrace, Apartment E, North Arlington and observed two people lying on the floor in the living room area.
Officers from the North Arlington Police Department responded to the residence and forced entry into the apartment. They found Balaji Rudrawar, 33, and his wife, Aarti B. Rudrawar, 31, deceased.
Both individuals had suffered multiple stab wounds and a young child was also located in the apartment but had not been harmed.
An investigation revealed that Aarti B. Rudrawar died as a result of multiple stab wounds inflicted by her husband, Balaji Rudrawar.
Balaji Rudrawar also died as a result of multiple stab wounds, but his manner of death is undetermined pending the completion of an autopsy and investigation.
Police said no other individuals are believed to be involved.
