UPDATE: Hudson County SWAT, Harrison Police Apprehend Man After Hours Long Hotel Standoff

The Hudson County SWAT team, along with Harrison Police, successfully apprehended a man who barricaded himself inside a hotel room at the Hampton Inn Hotel and Suites on Passaic Avenue, keeping law enforcement at bay for over six hours on Sunday.NinosHarrison Police have not immediately released details regarding the incident's initiation but have requested information.

According to reports, police were dispatched to the hotel around 2:30 p.m. for an unspecified reason.

After nearly two hours of unsuccessful negotiations, individuals evacuated from the hotel told RLS Media that they heard a loud bang resembling gunfire when officers first arrived, though Harrison Police have not confirmed if the suspect fired on officers.

The Hudson County SWAT team was called in to assist, and negotiations continued until about 9:15 p.m. when officers forced entry into the room and took the man into custody.

No serious injuries were reported, and the investigation is in its preliminary stages.
