According to police, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Bergen and Lexington avenues in Jersey City.
Police say responding officers identified then victim as Mr. Sirheen Walker, 30, of Jersey City,.
According to police,Walker was pronounced dead at approximately 12:45 a.m.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
