Police have released the identity of an 18-year-old Perth Amboy man whose body was found on Conrail property in Perth Amboy.
Jose David Guardado-Leiva was identified during an active and continuing investigation by the Perth Amboy Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation began on August 25th when a 911 call was received at 7:41 a. m. when a passerby discovered the victim’s body on Conrail property near William Street in the City.
Leiva was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Middlesex County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide due to sharp force injuries of the head, neck and torso.
