Police in Union are looking for shooters who fired shots in a neighborhood in the Township on Wednesday.
Early morning gunfire erupted on Hawthorne Avenue around 6:20 a.m., prompting a police investigation.
Union Township officers arrived and found evidence that a shooting occurred but no victims were located after police searched the scene.
Police believe that the incident is isolated to the home that was struck by bullets and the residence was targeted.
Residents say the neighborhood has had unanswered complaints of criminal activity in the past. The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
Shooters fired about a dozen rounds into the occupied affected home, but no one inside was injured.
Police said the suspect sped from the scene and remained at large..
The Union County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation.
