By: Richard L. Smith Residents at the Bradley Court Housing Development said they heard two males arguing in the hallway of one of the buildings and then multiple rounds of gunfire Saturday morning.
Newark West Ward officers raced to the North Munn Avenue side of the complex and found a severely injured man suffering multiple bullet wounds inside one of the building’s hallways.
The victim, identified by residents as Mr. Keni Johnson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the apparent target of the violent encounter.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the active and ongoing investigation.
The suspect remains at large.
