Police officials in Newark request the public’s help in identifying four males who are wanted in connection with a carjacking that occurred on Saturday.
According to police, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a man was carjacked at gunpoint at South 7th Street and 11th Avenue by three male suspects.
Police say the victim was also robbed of his personal property before he fled the vehicle and flagged down a police vehicle for assistance.
According to police, a fourth suspect was observed entering the victim’s car, which was later located crashed at South 7th Street and 13th Avenue.
The suspects left a black .45 caliber handgun inside the victim’s vehicle.
Detectives investigating this incident obtained photos of the suspects and are seeking the public’s help in identifying them and removing them from our streets.
