Police in Elizabeth are investigating a violent stabbing that severely injured a man this afternoon.
Officers responded to the area of Bellevue and Pennington street after learning of a person stabbed around 1:20 p.m.
This was a altercation between the victim and the suspect who produced a knife and stabbed the victim inside Carvel.
A child was on the scene during the stabbing.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark in life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been reported.
