Police officials in Newark are investigating a physical altercation that left a female victim suffering stab wounds on Wednesday.
Reports say officers responded to a fight in progress report near 506 Clinton Avenue around 6:20 p.m.
Units arrived and found the victim suffering a non-life-threatening stab wound after she engaged in a fight with another individual.
Police arrested the suspect at the scene, according to reports.
Officials say EMS treated both individuals involved in the confrontation.
