Monday evening in Linden witnessed a heartbreaking event when a pedestrian was fatally struck near the intersection of South Wood Avenue and West Edgar Road.
Linden Police swiftly arrived at the scene just before 6:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a person being injured.
Upon arrival, police and EMS teams found a severely injured individual, who was unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the ground.
Despite immediate medical efforts, including CPR, the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
In light of the incident, Linden Police have urged drivers to avoid the area, particularly as the southbound lanes were closed for the accident investigation.
