A 35-year-old Fanwood woman seriously injured in at hit-and-run crash in Linden succumbed to her injuries.
According to authorities, at approximately 1:55 a.m. on Jan. 20th in the area of N. Wood Avenue and St. George Avenue Meghan Crilly, 35, of Fanwood, was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Wood Avenue. The vehicle fled the scene traveling south on N. Wood Avenue.
Officials say Crilly succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at Newark University Hospital last night.
Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a red 2014 - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly with tinted windows and a sun roof. The vehicle may have front end damage, particularly to the lower grille area.
The crash remains under joint investigation by the Linden Police Department Traffic Bureau and the Union County Homicide Task Force. Union County
