Details about a possible suspect initially emerged through social media, which included allegations of explicit contact with a child.

The case has since been transferred to the county's prosecutor's office, adhering to standard protocols for handling such sensitive incidents, according to Police Director Tracie Bowers.

Thomas Fennelly, Chief Assistant Prosecutor at the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, communicated to RLS Media that the matter is highly sensitive and no additional information is available at this time.

In consideration of the sensitivity of the case and the fact that the suspect has not been formally charged, RLS Media has opted not to publish images of the alleged perpetrator that have appeared online.
