Police responded to Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for a report of a drowning child sometime around 3:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, responders found lifeguards doing CPR on the 8-year-old boy who was in cardiac arrest for nearly 15 minutes after being pulled from the community center pool.
The unidentified child was transported to Englewood Medical Center but was later transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
No update was immediately available on the child's condition.
