Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 2:16 a.m. Friday, Passaic Police responded to the area of Van Buren Street and Lexington Avenue in Passaic on a report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival, officials said police located a potential crime scene and a 29-year-old male Passaic resident who had sustained several non-fatal stab wounds.
According to police, the victim was immediately transported to Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic for treatment.
A short time later, members of the Passaic Police Department were notified that a 28-year-old male Passaic resident had arrived at Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic via private vehicle seeking treatment for several non-fatal stab wounds.
The 28-year-old victim was subsequently transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.
Based on the preliminary investigation, officials said both victims were injured during an incident that occurred in the area of Van Buren Street and Lexington Avenue.
