Authorities in Ocean County announced that the decedent at the center of an investigation originating out of Lakewood Township has been identified as David Koscuik, 57, of Lakewood.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer stated on February 28, at approximately 12:13 p.m., the Lakewood Township Police Department received notification concerning an unconscious male located inside the trunk of a vehicle parked in the area of Fairway Court in Lakewood Township.
Upon responding to the area, officers located the body of a deceased male, officials said.
Officials say the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, Manchester Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit are currently investigating this matter.
Authorities say this investigation remains active and ongoing; there is no known danger to the public, and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
