A devastating crash in South Brunswick on Wednesday evening resulted in the tragic loss of two lives and left another person in grave condition.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office arrived on the scene to lead the investigation into the incident, which occurred near the intersection of US-130 and Stults Road around 5:35 p.m.
Police responded to the crash site, where they found a car that had collided with a bus.
The impact of the collision left occupants trapped inside the car. While a search of the bus revealed no severe injuries, the situation in the vehicle was dire.
One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were urgently transported to a nearby hospital. Tragically, one of these victims was later pronounced dead, and the other remains gravely injured.
The cause of the crash is still under preliminary investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
