A quiet Sunday afternoon turned devastating in Camden County after a violent two-car collision on Sicklerville Road claimed two lives and left multiple others injured—including several children.

According to a statement released by the Winslow Township Police Department, officers were dispatched around 3:00 p.m. on March 23, to the intersection of Sicklerville Road and Sheridan Drive, where a serious crash involving two vehicles had just occurred.
RLS Media learned that when first responders arrived, they found the violent scene. Six people, including three children, were injured in the collision. Emergency crews from Winslow Township Fire and EMS began immediate life-saving efforts at the scene.
One adult victim was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, while three juveniles—identified as the children of one of the victims—were rushed to the same facility by ambulance.
Two other passengers involved in the crash were transported to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township, where they were later pronounced dead from their injuries.
The victims were identified as 38-year-old Ameera K. Lewis and her partner, 45-year-old Michael K. Johnson.
The couple was deeply loved by their family and community, and their sudden loss has left many mourning.
The Winslow Township Police Department’s Highway Safety Unit is actively investigating the cause of the crash.

A viewing for Lewis and Johnson will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Perfecting Church, located at 274 Delsea Drive in Sewell, NJ. A celebration of their lives will follow immediately at the same location.
As the investigation continues, the community is left grieving two lives taken too soon—and praying for the full recovery of the children and others affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
