An early morning crash that caused serious injuries on Route 280 west has detectives from the NJ State Police investigating.
According to a spokesperson for the NJ State Police, the investigation is still very early, but at around 5:51 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the westbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 8.6 in West Orange where three vehicles were involved in a crash at that location.
The spokesperson said that about two injured victims were rushed to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious injuries.
There are no confirmations of any fatalities at this time the spokesperson continued.
The crash closed the westbound lanes of the highway for several hours for the investigation.
