A search that began overnight in the Passaic River in Newark for a man believed to have jumped in the water had officials locate some of the man's clothing and other personal belongings.
Police said Mr. Calvin Jones, 22, of Newark was last seen at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 8th Avenue and Spring Street wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black coat, black jeans, and sneakers.
According to police, Jones is known to frequent N.Y. however, due to recent events, it is believed that Jones may be a risk to himself.
Police continued a search along the Passaic River today after being advised that Jones’ family members located some of his personal belongings near the River last night.
Police seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and ensuring his safety.
