Authorities in Newark have identified the victim of a car crash that caused fatal injuries.
The violent collision happened at approximately 2 a.m. in the vicinity of McCarter Highway at Lombardy Street where emergency responder were called to the scene according to preliminary reports.
Rescue crews arrived at the scene and found two cars crashed with occupants reportedly ejected from the vehicles.
Mr. Michael Vagueiro was pronounced dead at the scene according to officials while EMS transported one person to University Hospital for treatment.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation according to authorities.
According to a statement released by the family, on Thursday, November 15th, they will have a memorial service for Michael Vagueiro at 7:30 pm at Tapestry Church located at 11 Glenwood Avenue, Jersey City NJ.
"As a family, we are choosing not to have a viewing of Michael's body due to the circumstances of his death. We will have some visuals and memories to share" family members said n the statement.
