Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay charged a Camden man with Aggravated Manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old male victim this morning.
According to Prosecutor MacAulay, at approximately 2:54 a.m., police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a person stabbed in the 3000 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden City.
Officers and EMS arrived and found a 16-year-old male victim who was suffering from stab wounds.
Prosecutor Macaulay said the victim, a Camden City resident, was transported to Cooper University Medical Center where doctors pronounced him dead at 3:50 a.m.
Following an investigation by detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department, 20-year-old Jonathan Flores-Chila was charged with 1st-degree Aggravated Manslaughter and weapons offenses.
Flores-Chila will be transported to Camden County Correctional Facility when he is released from the hospital.
