Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a 29-year-old Paterson man injured Friday night, according to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials said Paterson Police responded to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center around 9 p.m. on April 4, after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.
He had been brought to the hospital by a private vehicle.
A preliminary investigation led officers to the area of Van Houten Street and Straight Street, where a potential crime scene was identified.
Law enforcement is continuing to gather details surrounding the incident.
