State Police officials have launched an investigation into two robberies at service stations on the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County Friday morning.
According to a statement released by N J State Police Detective I. Jeffrey Lebron, in the early hours of August 18, at around 12:44 am, state troopers swiftly responded to reports of armed robberies at the Garden State Parkway Colonia Service Areas, situated in Woodbridge Township.
Detective Lebron said initial findings indicated that both the Shell and Exxon gas stations quickly fell victim to separate gunpoint robberies.
The perpetrators, four unidentified individuals, carried out their actions while inside a black Mercedes Benz.
Detective Lebron said the suspects, armed with firearms, forcefully demanded cash before making their escape in the mentioned vehicle.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported at either of the targeted locations.
As authorities continue to look into the matter, the incidents remain an ongoing focal point of investigation.
Authorities are diligently working to uncover further information and provide a comprehensive understanding of the events that transpired.
