A woman found dead in a Newark neighborhood on Monday has been identified by authorities.
According to a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, the woman has been identified as Deborah Burton, 63, of Maplewood.
Burton was found shot at 43 North 3rd Street on Monday at around 3 p.m. authorities said.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
