Authorities have identified the 27-year-old man who was shot and killed Monday.
Police responded to the 900 block of South 19th Street, Monday around 4:40 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found Darnell Moody, of Newark, injured.
He was rushed to University Hospital by taxi cab where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:20 p.m. the same day.
The motive of the shooting remains under investigation.
