Authorities have release the identity of the 46-year-old East Orange man that was killed Friday afternoon in Newark.
Police responded to the 100 block of Prince Street sometime around 5 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found the victim - later identified as Alvin B. Allen - shot to death.
Essex County Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman Katherine Carter confirmed the killing because of the ongoing investigation no other details were immediately available.
