Authorities have released the identity of the 23-year-old Jersey City man shot and killed in the head New Year’s Day.
According to police, officers responded to the area of Brunswick and Montgomery streets around 6:15 a.m. for reports of a possible shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found Taiwon Robinson unresponsive. EMS transported Robinson to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just after 7 p.m.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
