Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Tuesday, March 25, Majid Harris, 23, of Atlantic City, was sentenced on two indictments for two counts of first-degree armed robbery, one count of second-degree possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, and one count of second-degree aggravated assault.

Pursuant to the terms of his plea agreement, Harris was sentenced to an aggregate term of 12 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to approximately 10 years and 2 months of parole ineligibility under the No Early Release Act and the Graves Act, Atlantic County officials say.
Upon his release from prison, ACPO officials said, Harris will be subject to five years of intensive parole supervision.
On the evening of November 25, 2023, Harris ordered a food delivery from a store in Atlantic City, according to Atlantic County officials.
ACPO authorities said that when the delivery driver arrived with the order, Harris robbed the driver at gunpoint with a handgun. Harris took cash from the driver and then fled on foot.
Four days later, on the evening of November 29, 2023, Harris used the same telephone number to order a food delivery from a different store in Atlantic City, ACPO officials stated.
Upon arriving with the food order, Atlantic County officials said the driver was robbed at gunpoint under nearly identical circumstances as the November 25th robbery.
According to Atlantic County authorities, although Harris disguised his face during the robberies, he was ultimately identified and apprehended after police reviewed surveillance footage and conducted an investigation involving the telephone number used to set up the robberies.

After being arrested on the robberies, Harris was detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he participated in an assault of another inmate who was beaten unconscious, ACPO officials say.
