Authorities in Newark are reporting the arrest of a man wanted for a deadly altercation that occurred in the city in early July.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officials at University Hospitals notified Newark Police of an unidentified man who entered the emergency room suffering multiple stab wounds in his stomach.
When police arrived at the hospital, they were informed that the incident occurred at an address in the 400 block of Avon Avenue near South 19th Street.
The victim was identified as Mr. Glenn Blackstone, 32, of Newark.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, doctors at University Hospital pronounced Blackstone dead a short time later.
Earlier this week, police arrested Mr. Antonio Seabrooks and charged him with Blackstone’s murder.
Blackstone’s family told RLS Media that he spent several years in Newark but was raised in Florida.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
