An investigation is underway into a fatal train strike that occurred early this morning in New Brunswick.
Police responded to the area near the Jersey Avenue station in New Brunswick around 4:45 a.m. for a report of a person struck by a train.
Upon arrival, officials determined a worker for the federal train agency was struck and killed.
Amtrak officials, which are the leading investigation, confirmed that no one aboard the train was physically injured.
The identity of the worker is being withheld pending notification of family.
