UPDATE: Additional Charge Filed Against Rutgers’ Student Accused in Murder Plot

Piscataway

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers University Police Department said a Rutgers’ student charged on Tuesday in connection with a plot to commit murder has also been charged with cyber harassment.

According to authorities, Izaia Bullock, 22, of Piscataway, was charged today with one count of cyber harassment in the fourth degree.

The new charge was filed against Bullock during an investigation by the Rutgers University Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials say he was previously arrested on Oct. 30th on two counts of attempted murder in the first degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree.

The investigation is active and continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Lauren Tredo of the Rutgers University Police Department at (848) 932-8025 or Detective Michael Connelly of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3254.

Bullock is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a Detention Hearing scheduled for tomorrow in New Brunswick before Superior Court Judge Michael A. Toto.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Bullock are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
