Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Friday, members of the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Richard Street in Passaic on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, responding officers were able to locate a crime scene, and the victim, a 74-year-old male Passaic resident.
According to police, the victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim is in stable condition and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
