The Linden Police Department is investigating a pedestrian strike that sent a six-year-old girl to the hospital for treatment on Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on E. St. George Avenue.
Police officials told RLS Media that the young girl was struck while crossing the street.
She was transported to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.
As a result of the crash, W. St. George Avenue was closed westbound at N. Stiles Street for about two hours last night.
The Linden Police Traffic Bureau continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
