A multi-alarm fire that tore through a home in Jersey city left more than a dozen residents displaced.
According to a statement released by officials, Jersey City Fire Department firefighters responded to 124 South Street at approximately 5 o'clock Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, the firefighters observed heavy fire to the rear of the building with the 1st and 2nd floors fully involved.
Officials say the 2-story residential structure had a 1-foot alleyway on both sides and the fire subsequently spread to two other structures.
There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation but does not appear suspicious officials said.
16 residents were assisted/relocated by The American Red Cross.
