Authorities in Passaic County reported that at approximately 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 28-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police said based on the preliminary investigation, they believe the victim was in the area of Carroll Street and 12th Avenue when an unknown actor approached and fired a handgun in the victim’s direction.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The motive has not been determined.
