Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 4:47 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 17th Avenue and East 28th Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene and were advised by persons at the scene that a shooting victim was transported to the hospital via private vehicle.
Officials say a short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 22-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
