Police in Elizabeth are on the search for a suspect who is wanted for a shooting that left a man injured on Monday morning.
According to a statement released by Elizabeth city Spokeswoman Kelly Martins, the incident occurred at approximately 12:38 a.m., on Fulton Street where officers responded to reports of shots fired at that location.
Spokeswoman Martins said units arrived at the scene and found a 22-year-old male city resident suffering a gunshot wound to the right arm.
"The victim was not able to provide a description of the suspect and was taken to University Hospital in stable condition," Spokeswoman Martins said.
While police set up a crime and began to search the area, Spokeswoman Martins said officers also found a 21-year-old female, who suffered a graze wound to the left ankle.
The woman was treated at the scene then released according to Spokeswoman Martins.
