An incident in which a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Elizabeth this weekend is under investigation, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo announced Sunday.
Official say the victim has been identified as Ms. Sabryna Morales, 21, of Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Police Department patrol units responded to the 900 block of East Grand Street Saturday evening and found Morales at that location, having sustained serious injuries, according to the preliminary investigation. She was subsequently pronounced dead.
The investigation determined that a box truck had struck Morales moments earlier, killing her.
This investigation is being led by the Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by the Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit and the Elizabeth Police Department.
