Police arrested a 21-year-old Springfield man after he allegedly took off with a pregnant woman's car and belongings this morning in Millburn.
Police reported to 545 Millburn Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m. for a reported carjacking.
Upon arrival, the eight months pregnant victim, told police she was approached by a man - only described as a male wearing a black hoodie with white writing on it - who grabbed her keys and phone from her hands and took off west on Route 124 in her 2015 Mercedes Benz GL450.
Police located and stopped the vehicle without incident near the intersection of South Orange and Wyoming avenues, in South Orange.
The suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Jasil Jackson, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with carjacking and robbery.
He is being detained in the Essex County Jail pending a court date.
No injuries were reported.
