Passaic County authorities said at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Monday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Street and North 2nd Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 20- year-old male Paterson resident who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation, officials said the victim was shot in the area of Jefferson Street and North 2nd Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
