Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 11:26 p.m. on Monday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 17th Avenue in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Responding officers were notified that a 19-year-old male Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim is in stable condition.
Officers located the crime scene in the area of 17th Avenue and Pennington Street, Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
