Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a 19-year-old man late Friday night in Paterson, New Jersey, according to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on December 6, when officers from the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near Memorial Drive and Main Street.
Upon arrival, police found the victim, a Paterson resident, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was promptly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he is being treated for injuries that have been classified as non-fatal.
A possible crime scene was identified in the area, but details regarding the circumstances of the shooting have not yet been disclosed.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or motives at this time.
