Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 9:53 p.m. on September 5, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Mercer Street and Warren Street in Paterson, on a report of shots fired.
According to officials, upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene but were unable to locate a victim.
Shortly thereafter, police were advised that a 16-year-old juvenile arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, via private vehicle seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
